Book Varahi Devi Puja and Yagna
Book Varahi Devi Puja & Yagna
Lord Varaha’s consort is the potent Hindu deity Goddess Varahi (boar incarnation of Lord Vishnu). She is one of the seven Sapt Maatrikas, or Divine Mothers, who are intense manifestations of Shakti.
She is also referred to as Panchmi because she is the fifth Sapt Maatrika (after Brahmani, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, Mahendri, and Chamundi). One of the great elements of Shakti known as the sapta matrikas or divine moms is Goddess Varahi, the spouse of Lord Varaha. She eliminates all types of evil and has the appearance of a pig.
This is a big pooja and the benefits of it are many. We will explain in the next section the help of the pooja. But before that, there is some more important information. This pooja takes more than two days to complete and it takes 6 priests to complete the pooja.
This means that not anybody can perform this pooja. The priests should have appropriate knowledge and dedication and devotion to complete the pooja and call out to Devi Varahi.
